Showcasing the Success of Canada at ICEF Miami 2018 as #1 destination for international students

MIAMI, December 10-12, 2018 - From December 10th to 12th, Languages Canada (LC) teamed up with Canadian Association of Public Schools – International (CAPS-I) to promote Canadian education during the annual ICEF Miami Workshop.

The event kicked off on Monday, December 10th with two presentations by Diego Sanchez – Manager, International Promotion and Marketing at LC. Together with CAPS-I, LC delivered an "Education Pathways in Canada" presentation to a large crowd of agents, highlighting why students and agents from around the globe rank Canada as a top destination to live and learn in English and/or French. LC also delivered the ‘’Canada Course for Education Agents’’ presentation with ICEF. This presentation featured results from ICEF’s 2018 barometer which ranked Canada as #1 international study destination according to agents from around the Globe.

Languages Canada was pleased to see 25 members represented at this year’s ICEF Miami.  During the workshop, Diego met with key agents from Colombia, Central America, Ecuador, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, Thailand, and Iran to announce and promote the Languages Canada international affairs initiatives for 2019 and 2020.  This was also an important opportunity for Languages Canada to meet and greet with members attending the event.

Mr. Sanchez attended a variety of dynamic and informative packed house seminars and industry presentations, including strategies on how to work with students in Vietnam and Turkey. A particularly highlight worthy seminar was the ‘’Agent Commissions Structures – State of the Field 2018’’ – which brought together foreign institutions and agents into a heated debate. ‘’International Recruitment is changing quickly, and institutions are now going after agents – the opposite scenario from ten years ago’’ said one of the presenters.
