Programs
We offer English-second-language programs that help international students and English-second-language speakers prepare to study in colleges or university programs in Canada (or other English countries). We have three main English for academic preparation programs:
- The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program: A four-level, full-time program for students ranging in English ability from Beginner to High-Intermediate
- The English-Second-Language (ESL) Support Program: A full-time, one-semester program for students who have a high level of English but who need to refine their English for academic study and also make the transition from full-time ESL to university study
- The Pre-MBA Program: A two-module (two semester) program for international students conditionally admitted to the UNB Saint John Master of Business Administration program.

Saint John College offers both official and institutional English-language testing to new students as well as students from other schools in Canada and abroad who need to write an official English test in order to be accepted to a university or college in Canada or for immigration purposes.
We offer the following official tests-of-English:

-CELPIP
Saint John College has 3 pathway programs:
-The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program which allows students to gain conditional admission to both UNB undergraduate programs as well as New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) programs on the condition that they complete English-language training at Saint John College before beginning their academic studies. This program is designed for students with IELTS scores of 5.5 or lower.
-The English Second Language Support Program, which allows students with IELTS scores of 6.0 (or equivalent) to gain conditional admission to undergraduate programs at UNB pending completion of one semester of English-language training combined with one or two academic (credit) courses.
-The Pre-MBA Program. This program allows students with strong undergraduate scores but who lack work experience as well as the English language skills to gain conditional admissions to the UNB Saint John MBA Program on the condition that they complete the 8-month Pre-MBA Program.
